Go to the Windows update web site, see the button called "Microsoft Update", this will take you to another web page, offer to install something once it does, the shut down the IE Browser. You should install the MS Update tool, so it will offer ALL updates, which would include MS Office and other stuff too. "Windows Update" is not the same as "Microsoft Update". I thought, if I won the lotto, I could get the lastest, fastest CPU and lots of ram and just install Win10, but, Even with the fastest stuff, I think I will hate it. But with no updated browsers and no flash. cause uSP4 really makes it a tight OS and very secure. I prefer Win 2003, or WinXP with all the crap turned off, so it then looks like 2003, has a fast GUI. I never liked W7, though its pretty solid, its a pig. Part of me thinks to just say "F it" and just go with Win10 and tough it out, force myself to like it! Other part says screw that, and go with Win7 Home premium, or what ever. Can't imagine surfing sites with out flash either. This will prolly make it up useable in a few months, as even more security hole go unfixxed! To top it all off, I believe I read that FLASH version 23 will be the last for WinXP as well. Significant security fixes have been made, so I know have a lot of holes in my current rig. We are at version 53 or 54 now for everyone else. Bad news is, they have stopped updating it at version 49, for WinXP. I love my Browser, which is IRON (chrome), can't think of browsing with anything else. Recently I have been thinking about what to do.
